Badger FAQ's

What are the camp’s hours?
Camp begins at 9am and runs to 4pm.

How many weeks do I have to sign up for?
Badger is an 8-week sports camp. We have a 4-week minimum, however, the weeks are flexible and can be used within the 8-week period.

Do you offer half days?
We offer half days for our 3 and 4 year olds program. These half days go from 9am to 1pm. The rest of our campers from ages 5 to 13 are full day.

Can we visit?
Tours are available by request throughout the week.

How do I get information?
You can call the office at 914-834-2165 to request an information packet or check out the “downloads” section of our website for important forms.

How are the groups arranged?
The 3 and 4 year olds are mixed boys and girls, while the 5 year olds and up are separated. Groups run from 20 to 25 campers in size. Each group has a head counselor (teacher) with 4 to 6 assistant counselors (depending on group size) ready to give your child a great summer experience with Badger.

What are the group ratios?
The counselor to camper ratio for our 3 and 4 year olds is 3 to 1 and 5 to 1 for the rest of our campers. They receive 3 additional swim instructors during their time at the pool.

Is Badger Sports Club swim intensive?
Badger focuses on swimming, but includes many other activities that can be found on our website. We cater to swimmers and non-swimmers alike. Our swim program allows for campers to improve on their swimming skills in a fun learning environment.

Can camp days be substituted when a child is absent?
Camp days cannot be substituted due to illness or any other absence.

Are the parents allowed to visit during the week?
Visiting days are Tuesday and Thursday between the hours of 10am-2pm.
