Hot Lunch Program
The Badger Meal program, included in your tuition, is provided by Flik Independent Schools. Our chef, Carlos Caban, is the Chef Manager for the Eagle Hill School in Greenwich and has 30 years of experience in student and camper nutrition.
Menus are created specifically designed for our dining facility and our camper's needs and are made fresh in house every day. We use minimal amounts of fat in food preparations and primarily use olive and canola oils, which have more monounsaturated and less saturated fat than other cooking oils. We use non-hydrogenated canola oil for fried preparations. Low-fat and fat free salad dressings are available daily. We are trans-Fat free.
Badger is officially peanut-free and nut "aware". We do not serve peanut butter or use peanut or tree nut oils in food preparation. For campers with food allergies it is suggested that you note the allergies on the camper medical form and meet with the Manager and Chef prior to the opening of camp, they have experience in managing special diets insuring your camper has a safe and fun summer.
Badger menus are sent home with the campers every two weeks. Five sandwich alternatives and garden salads are offered in addition to the entree each day. Throughout the camp season, extra special lunches are made to highlight special days such as on the July 4th DJ dance party and a Closing day dance party.
Towel Services
A daily towel service is provided to all campers. The towels are cleaned and pressed daily and are available for each swim session. Bathing suits are also washed and dried during the day and placed back into camper cubbies to ensure the bathing suits are clean and dry for every swim session. This makes getting ready for camp every day a breeze!
Bus Service
Door to door transportation service will pick up campers in the morning and drop them off after camp has ended. The children are accompanied on the bus by a professional bus driver and a Badger counselor. The bus company that we use has been ensuring quality for over 40 years and during the school year is apart of the local school system. Their trusted experience with children and their safety record makes them an excellent partner for Badger Sports Club. When needed, we also arrange private transportation.
Registered Nurse
Boys will be boys and girls will be girls. That’s why we have registered nurses on staff to handle the bumps and bruises of summer.
Ice cream time
A long tradition at Badger is the 3 o’clock ice cream time. After a hard day playing you can relax and sit back and enjoy your favorite cold treat.
