Nestled in the quiet town of Larchmont, Badger has often been called 'Westchester's best kept secret!' Under tall trees lies ten acres of land dedicated to summer fun. And at the heart of it all, an Olympic sized pool is filled with campers being taught to swim under the guidance of internationally recognized Swim Coach, John Collins Jr. John has produced Olympians, American and National record holders and world champions and they've all come out of this pool. It's a pool of greatness and campers can't get enough!
Badger Day Camp was founded in 1945 by Ruth and Jack Collins who had been operating various children's programs under the Badger name throughout Westchester County. Jack believed that you could provide physical fitness to kids through teaching sports fundamentals in a fun environment. His approach quickly caught on and so he began to look for a permanent location for Badger Sports. After some searching, Badger found a permanent home at 119 Rockland Ave, Larchmont ,NY and Badger Day Camp was born. Since then the Collin's family has been running camp and have continued Jack's philosophy of offering a wide variety of quality programs for kids and that approach has made Badger a Westchester staple for over 60 years!
